Streaming Audio Samples 

The Audio Samples Library allows users to "stream" audio samples.  This means you don't really download the song but instead hear it "on-the-fly".  Throughout the Audio Samples Library, when you see this icon it means clicking it will result in the media being streamed, not downloaded, to you.  This is nice because playback begins almost immediately.  You can select multiple files to stream and they will queue up, one behind the other.

One other note - I noticed that you usually get prompted again for a username and password the first time you attempt to stream a file(s).  Just use the same name and password you used to enter the Audio Samples Library.

 

Downloading Audio Samples 

The Audio Samples Library also allows you to download music samples rather then stream them.  This will allow you to save samples to your hard drive so you can play them later when not connected to fottral.com.  When you see this icon it means that you can right-clicking the icon and select "Save Target As" to download the music sample to your computer.
